About the work

This moody photograph captures the stormy sky and gray clouds above a thick forest of dark pine trees. We watched the storm roll in one afternoon and I was stuck by the beautifully dramatic contrast of sky and trees. I love the subtle patches of sunshine along the tree tops and the way this image evokes a dramatic shift in weather.
