This photograph is part of a series from my trip to Cuba in 2016. Being an island, fishing is naturally a big part of everyday life for the people there. This scene, with the rough waters, steep cliffs, and juxtaposition of the vast ocean with the seemingly small fisherman, seemed to capture perfectly their culture of hard work & ingenuity.
