"Shorebirds" and a few similar pieces were inspired by a much needed, 3 day vacation at a small cottage, "The Yellow Lantern" on Orcas Island in Puget sound. The peaceful surroundings and gentle ocean sounds were as welcome as a deep breath of ocean air.
