Kick back with a cocktail and gaze at the colors of teal reef and relax. The colors and movement elicit the feeling of a caribbean holiday. This was a very large square canvas of 48x48 and I was experimenting with large Japanese brushes. The paint seemed to absorb and wash the canvas with a saturation of color. This piece works well with caribean blue silk and saltwater current!

As an artist, painting can be tormenting and sublime at the same time. I'm a big risk taker, experimenting with different materials to layer, stain, scrap and saturate color on large canvases. My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting. The end result should be a painting that will spiritually and emotionally capture, calm, and elevate us. less
