About the work
The result of laying flowers on a sensitized photo paper and placing it in the sun can be unexpected and magical. With its deep prussian blue and white highlights, the cyanotype is one of the earliest forms of photography. I love the way the photogram is both a photograph and also reminiscent of a painting.

I like to find the magical in ordinary everyday things. Much of my work is inspired by things no further than then end of the driveway, because I suffer from a chronic disability. It's my art that saves me. I have been making art of one form or another my whole life. I have worked in many mediums: photography, collage, bookarts, printmaking, painting, and fabric design.
