About the work
The predictable afternoon storm, while spending summers at the cottage, was one of the things I enjoyed most about the lake. Situated in the prairies, with rolling farm land all around, the sky was at its most impressive when the dark clouds began rolling in. My mom used to say "the heavens are going to open up!" This piece is a nod to that memory.
