About the work

This piece is part of a set of two abstract compositions that feature layered textures in a gorgeous, warm palette. The colors themselves were the primary inspiration for the series; I have been drawn lately to the notion of the warmth of tones and shadows created by natural objects and textures bathed in the light of a glowing sunset. The organic shapes and textures of this piece add visual interest, and would compliment any space.
