About the work

This art print features a figure drawing depicting strength, surrender, struggle and hope. It was inspired by the opening scene in Revelations by The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre (with permission). It is a personal piece for me. Working on it lead me toward some new clarity while finding my way through some overwhelming complexities of life.
