I cycled through many small pet fishies during my childhood, the common goldfish being my favorite. Penny, named so because she was shiny as a new penny, was a particularly bold and charismatic fish in my tank. I sometimes wondered if she was meant not to be a goldfish but something much bigger... Like a shark.
