"Little Mad Owl" is a portrait of a burrowing owl I once knew at a wildlife rehab and educational center in Santa Clara, CA. "Digger" was an educational animal outreach ambassador for local schools and nature centers. Despite his penetrating stare, Digger was actually blind, having surved attempted poisoning in his burrow home. He was a sweet and trusting animal, and only appears to look "mad". He is resting on one foot, a pose he adopted for his portrait. Thank you and blessings, from Tracy and Digger!
