I loved painting this painting as it came together in a few sessions. One of my favorite palettes - BLUES!!! Lots of texture for the underpainting and then large Japanese brushes to move the paint across the canvas in big gestural strokes blending the different saturation of color. And then came the silver, which sparkled across the sky.....hence the name silver sky!

My most successful work is complex yet minimal. Some of my work achieves a sense of fluid movement with saturated color, while my newer collection is so textured it is like frosting.
