One of my favorite children's books is the story of "The Velveteen Rabbit" by Margery Williams. I've loved it both as a child, and now as an adult reading it to my own children. When I was pregnant with my second son, I painted this for his nursery. For me, it captures a bit of childhood nostalgia, and the wonder of children and the way they play. May they always love their toys and make them real.
