I always notice the way sun falls on objects. One afternoon I sat beneath an awning covered by narrow strips of hand cut wood. The sun shone through and created a beautiful, glowing pattern on the underside. I attempted to capture the nuances of the vision, the gentle fading of shadow to light as well as the crisply outlined shapes of each piece of wood.
