Growing up in the midwest I've always wanted to express on canvas my love for wide open spaces, rolling fields, traditional farm houses, puffy clouds against a pure blue sky. This painting was the first I completed in an oil painting class. I was happy with the vintage feel that resulted from using a traditional oil palette and the overall classic picture of an old farmhouse amidst the wheat fields and abundant greenery that I recall from my childhood.
