As an artist I am frequently drawn to botanical subjects, this piece being no exception. There is a certain kind of 'emerging' quality present with this succulent that is central to the work. The harmony of all the colors present is above all an inspiration in the creation of the piece, not to mention the striking aqua color of the plant's leaves.
