About the work

Lake Superior, where it encircles the Apostle Islands, has a certain Caribbean blue/green hue, calling cliff jumpers to brave its cold depths. Massive boulders hug the shore, hinting at ancient stories, while ripples play above and below the surface. This photograph is one in a series of images exploring this enchanted place.
