The core of my art making process is hand-painting paper to collage or integrate into my paintings. In this painting I used the papers to incorporate texture and shape in new combinations creating gentle land-type forms amid dynamic marks. The name of the painting refers to the predominant color - which is the exact color of my childhood cat. Her name was "Easter" because that was literally the day she was born.
