This whimsical painting was originally inspired by a colorful architecture in Yemen. The patterned trims and windows gave way for me to re-interpret and abstract the building. What results is a bright and colorful abstract painting in stacks of rectangle shapes. The details in white and various colors carrie the eye across, giving the piece an added layer of movement and complexity.
