This abstract painting shows an interesting play between light and shadow. The picture was painted with two different techniques. I painted the black strokes with ink with a wide stiff brush and the rest with a soft brush with watercolors. Therefore soft, light areas intriguingly contrast with heavy dark brushstrokes and black emphasizes the color.
