Born and raised in Taiwan, Yaling Hou Suzuki loved to draw and sew from an early age. She moved to San Francisco to study design when she was 21 and eventually settled down in the beautifully diverse Bay Area. She lives in Belmont with her Japanese husband and their son.

“Something Blue is inspired by Chinese vases in pink/blue shades, and I added a stamped “double happiness” for Chinese wedding tradition.
Garden Vines is inspired by gold floral embroidery on Chinese bride’s red dresses, and a “double happiness” symbol is also incorporated into the design.”
