WHAT TO INCLUDE ON A MENU CARD

Our wedding menu cards are sized 5” x 7” and the minimum order quantity is 15, but you can order in increments of 10 to match up with the number of guests that are in attendance. If you are having a formal sit down dinner, it is proper etiquette to include a menu at each guest’s table setting. If you are having a buffet at your reception, you can choose to have a menu at the table setting for each guest, or you can opt to have just a few menus at each of the tables. Another option is to include a stack of menus at the buffet line or numerous menu signs surrounding the buffet line.

It is important to title the menu card with “menu” or another clear signifier so that your guests know what the purpose of this stationery is. If you want to add a more personalized touch, add the names of the bride and groom, or date of the wedding. The menu should include the dishes you are serving listed by each course. The first course of appetizers, salad, or soup, the main course of the entree and sides, and the third course listing what dessert is being served. Include the ingredients of the dishes and how it is prepared, or go more in-depth and explain why you picked the meal options. Here is a sample outline you can follow:

• First course (appetizers, salad, or soup) - List the ingredients
• Main course (including sides) - List the ingredients, how the meal is prepared, and all original course meal options.
• Third course (dessert) - List the ingredients

Typically, your guests choose their main course option when RSVPing to your wedding, but since this is in advance of the wedding, it is nice to give your guests a refresher on what meal they will be eating during the reception.

Pick and choose what printing technique to feature on your event’s stationery, such as a foil-press or gloss-press. Our most classic printing technique, also known as flat-press, simply prints images and text on a flat card surface with no raised elements, indented elements, or add-on foil elements. You may be interested in a foil-pressed menu card, which has elements highlighted with gold, silver, rose gold, bronze, black, or ice blue foil. A foil-pressed design will be sure to wow your guests with its luxurious printing technique and chic shiny pop of color. A gloss-press design is similar to a foil-pressed one, but with a sheer and minimalist iridescent layer that will catch the light during your reception elegantly.

Often times small details lend to design greatness. We allow you to adjust the cut of the edges to have square corners, rounded corners, and even scalloped edges. Next, choose which paper option you would like your design printed on. Options range from our signature paper, which is a thick, luxurious stock that Minted has offered for the past decade, to our luxe museum board, which is our thickest paper, with a quality and weight that is unmatched. For the eco-conscious that may be having an outdoor or rustic reception, consider our premium 100% recycled paper which is created from post-consumer waste and manufactured with wind-power.

Don’t let your design creativity be limited to just one side of your menu! The back of your wedding menu card has just as much real estate as the front. Why not add in some custom text and pictures?
