I like to work on large-scale colored pencil drawings of colorful toys. This is one of many robots that I have drawn over the years. The original drawing is over 36" tall and is part of a series of vintage toy robots. I often find objects that inspire a use of vivid colors and then work through a series of examples such as spaceships, electric guitars, vintage radios and accordions. I use a method of laying down colors in straight rows of about 1/2" high and then overlay more colors to allow them to blend together on the page.
