MAKE IT EASY FOR YOUR WEDDING GUESTS WITH RSVP POSTCARDS
When it comes to wedding stationery, there are many components that make up the full wedding invitation suite that you must consider. How you pair your formal wedding invitation, insert cards, RSVP cards, and accompanying envelopes is totally up to you. The theme and location of your wedding reception, whether you’re throwing a casual beachside party or an elegant courtyard soiree, may help guide your stationery selections. No matter the theme, it’s important to keep your guest list organized and your wedding guests well informed. RSVP postcards are the perfect solution for seamlessly managing an accurate headcount for your wedding. The postcard format creates a fun and easy way for your guests to “respond si vou plait”. No envelope stuffing required! Just pair your completed wedding RSVP postcard with the rest of your wedding invitation suite when mailing out your invites.
Guests will easily be able to check “yes” or “no” (and provide any other details you’ve requested they share, like their meal choice) and drop the postcard in the mailbox. Minted provides a diverse assortment of style options to choose from. Opt to have your RSVPs match your invitations perfectly for a cohesive look or mix and match styles to achieve chic contrasting elements!
POSTCARDS VS. FLAT CARDS IN ENVELOPES
Our more traditional RSVP card offering features a flat card sized at 4.25” x 5.5” that is paired with a pre-stamped and pre-addressed envelope for guests to send back your way. RSVP postcards, similarly-sized at 4.25” x 5.5”, take the addressed envelope step out of the process. Minted allows you to pre-address the postcard to yourself, requiring your guests to just indicate their attendance and pop it in the mailbox! Do keep in mind that because the back of the postcard requires spacing for address information, there is slightly less room for additional messaging on the back of your card compared to the traditional enveloped format. Not only will postcards save your guests time, but they will also save you money! This affordable wedding stationery option is priced lower than our more traditional formatting that includes envelopes. You will also save on the postage stamp costs, as each return mailer will only require a postcard stamp as opposed to a standard 1 oz stamp for a sealed letter.
Minted offers all the same enhanced personalization options for our wedding RSVP postcards that are offered with our other stationery formats and products. Change text, color arrangements, and styling with ease. If you fall in love with a particular RSVP design, understand that it will be available in postcard format.
If you are indeed leaning toward the postcard format, you may want to explore our collection of all-in-one wedding invitations. This functional seal-and-send design format includes a wedding invitation with a tear-off RSVP postcard attached to it. No envelope is needed for your entire wedding correspondence!
RSVP ETIQUETTE
We will quickly review a few key elements to consider when creating your postcard responses for your wedding guests.
Do you need to include a stamp? Yes. It may leave a bad taste in your guest’s mouths if they have to track down a stamp to respond to your invite. As we have already mentioned, postcard stamps are priced lower than traditional letter stamps.
Should your return address be pre-printed? Yes. Make it easy for them to put their reply in the mail. No stamp or addressing needed! As you complete your postcard template on Minted, you will notice we allow you to include your home address to be printed on each RSVP postcard.
How long should you give guests to respond? Ask for all responses to be returned 2-3 weeks before the wedding. This will allow you time to finalize your wedding seating chart and check in with guests that haven’t yet replied.
What does the M___ line mean? This stands for the guest’s title, like Mr., Mrs., Ms., or Miss. This is where the guest will provide the name they wish to be represented by and will signal to you what can be printed on their place card.
What key details should be included on the RSVP? Important details include:
Accept/Decline notice
The date that you want guests to respond by
M___ line or area for guests to write their names.
Amount of guests planning to attend (and their names)
Food selection options (and line to list any allergies)
SELECTION MADE EASY
With many designs to choose from, we encourage you to adjust the search filters at the top of this page to filter designs by style and color. Filtering out simple and minimalist designs will yield styles that are not oversaturated with imagery and color. Selecting to view rustic styles will present designs depicting mountains, trees, and sprigs of greenery. With other options like botanical, vintage, and classic to browse through, you are sure to find a postcard design that matches with your wedding theme and reception venue.
ACHIEVE A PERSONALIZED LOOK
Once you find a design that catches your eye, it’s time to make it your own! Simply click the green “personalize” button to begin tweaking the colors, text, and more. Below we have summarized some of the key elements you can manipulate in each design.
Color Theme - Instantly transform the look of your card by selecting from numerous curated color arrangements. If you would prefer a special coloring combination not listed, you can always select to request a custom color and our team of design associates will work alongside you, based on your design direction, to fulfill your requests.
Text - Change all the important text details listed on your RSVP. Alter the date you wish to have responses received by, change response options from words like “Yes” and “No” to “Accepts” and “Regrets” (or any other imaginative phrases you come up with), and change the food options displayed. We even allow you the freedom to select different font styling, colors, sizing, and alignment. Completely reimagine how the text is displayed on your card.
Card Backing - Don’t forget that your postcard has two sides. We allow you professionally printed text on the back of your card as well for free. Be creative with how you wish to use this space! Perhaps you can ask for guests to write in their favorite dance song for the DJ to play. Or you could encourage recipients to write a fond memory of the couple that could be later shared in an artistic way at the wedding. Lastly, be sure to include your home address in our template so that it can be professionally printed on each wedding RSVP postcard that you order.
