This large-scale painting came to life during a very different week for me. My husband and children were away traveling, and I spent the entire week on my own, away from my family. It was a quiet and emotionally intense time, filled with many different feelings. At times I felt lonely and a little low, and I found myself going out for long walks, sometimes twice a day, simply to clear my mind and get some fresh air.

As always, painting became a place where I could slow down, relax, and reconnect with something that makes me genuinely happy. This piece was created throughout that week.

I truly loved creating this piece, and I am especially happy with how it came together.

This original artwork was painted with acrylics on lightweight raw cotton canvas, featuring different shades of orange, subtle touches of violet, and small accents of white. The layered process created soft transitions and unexpected details throughout the composition, bringing depth and character to the piece.

This work will always remind me of that unusual week, of having more time alone than I was used to, and of once again finding comfort and joy in the process of painting.

This piece works beautifully in both orientations. It can be displayed horizontally or vertically, depending on the space and your preference. I personally love it both ways.
