Ochre Ground

Artwork size: 58.5 × 58.5 inches.
The artwork will be shipped rolled and unstretched. The 58.5 × 58.5 in measurement refers to the artwork itself. Once received, it will need to be stretched onto stretcher bars and can then be framed according to your personal style and preference.

This original artwork was painted with acrylics on raw cotton canvas, using ochre and brown tones while leaving areas of the natural canvas visible throughout the composition.

I painted this piece after spending a few months away from painting while recovering from shoulder surgery. Coming back to the canvas brought a renewed excitement to create, experiment, and revisit techniques I had explored in the past.

I especially loved working with ochre again; its warmth and earthy quality against the exposed raw cotton became one of my favorite parts of this piece.
