Be here now, in the longitude and latitude you occupy on the earth. This abstraction was inspired by topographical maps. While working with their organic patterns, I was reminded of similar natural formations that occur across various elements—in wood grain, in ocean currents, in the cells of plants and animals and in the earth itself. I like to think that this piece reminds us of the ways we connect with our physical world.
