In a Room
Frame Close-up
Along my neighborhood walk to the studio, I pass by the portion of Strawberry Creek that runs down from the hills of Berkeley through our local park. It is one of the first city-managed creeks to have been freed from a cover of asphalt in the 1980s, and the explosion of life around it is inspiring. Birdsong, kids playing, water trickling through….these are some of the plants and flowers that create a magical meandering path, and I am reminded in my haste to slow down and appreciate what surrounds this unique spot.
