I live in a beachside community & love the calming colors of the ocean. The beach has always been a special place for me to relax, unwind , dream & create. I love the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore, the sunshine on my face as the ocean breeze caresses my cheek & the feel of the incoming water rushing onto shore & bathing my toes in liquid energy. The beach & Caribbean culture are very calming, grounding & soothing to me partly I think due to the fact that my mother of East Indian descent was born & raised in Trinidad, the Caribbean culture was so much a part of my early upbringing. I feel that this fact alone has very much influenced my design style & colored my perception of life in general. I really want my time on this planet to matter & have a positive impact on the lives that I come into contact with. The art & designs that I create hopefully will inspire, heal & touch the spirit & heart. :) *Also I am working on a companion piece to compliment this current piece.
