The art of photography, for me, has always been influenced by my family. Either they are the subject of the piece, or they are off frame patiently waiting for me to get the perfect shot. I love capturing what’s all around us in our everyday lives. Even the simplest things can inspire us to create something beautiful and meaningful. Skimming is a precious photo to me because it represents the value of hard work. This past summer I witnessed my child work all summer to master the skill of skim boarding. The art of timing, speed and balance is no small feat. I'm inspired by their grit and determination, and I loved capturing the joy of accomplishment!
