My abstract acrylic painting, Seawall, is inspired by visits to Lake Superior in northern Minnesota. Water's fluid motion seems no match for the concrete wall, but over time will wear away its rigid form. The rhythmic pattern of waves hitting concrete is abstracted into geometric shapes, overlapping in size and intensity.
