About the work
I have always been drawn to the textures and colours found in the natural world. I find moths are especially interesting to draw or paint as they have very intricate and beautiful patterns. Their colour combinations are subtle but striking and seem to work harmoniously when layered on the page together. I hope these lovely creatures bring some life and light to your space.

Hello. I am a Canadian fine artist and illustrator working from my small, home based studio in Bowmanville, Ontario. I like to think that my work is somewhat whimsical and I mostly enjoy creating images that are influenced by things that surround me in everyday life, from the gardens in my backyard to my assortment of children's books, antique dishes and thrift store findings, collected trinkets and art prints from my travels and of course my daughter Edith.
