Hello! I am Nerea Azanza, the artist behind this artwork. I call my vision Art in Expansion. My art is a journey of finding how we are connected, expanding elements through precise freehand lines in space.
The ON Series is inspired by the idea, “Keep ON even when things get broken; just make them work differently.” Following this motto, ON is all about the process, pushing my intuition in the path of composition.
Each piece works as a personal challenge, a game. How? In the beginning, I painted on cardboard craft paper. Once I finished, I cut each one into two pieces that I glued apart on 12 x 16 inches colored Canson paper. The idea is to connect these two areas using only a few straight lines and circles. The result has to be a harmonious piece. It is as simple as a puzzle game to activate our creativity in front of struggles and push ourselves to continue improving no matter what life throws.
