Composing in oil and cold wax medium with a variety of implements – whether scrapers, knives, or cake decorating tools – I build layers of colors and forms, adding texture and scraping away, aiming to reveal the world as a moment of coherent beauty. I hope my work invites the viewer to contemplate the puzzle of the natural world as an image that remains open to the viewer’s interpretation.
