This abstract acrylic painting on canvas has multiple layers of yellows and browns. Not intentionally, but the colors remind of Japanese silk screen gold paintings in bright light. I created a unique, abstract design in dark blue, with a little bit of a lighter blue peeking through. I did not try to paint a Daruma, the shape just happens to remind me of a Daruma, which is a symbol of perseverance and good luck. The abstract shape might bring other things to your mind. The simplicity lends itself to compliment a contemporary or modern space.

    about the artist

    byCamille Pietrow

    Saratoga, CA

The San Francisco Bay Area, is where I am sheltering at home with my husband and college bound son. My older son works in Los Angeles. Paint colors, shapes and textures bring me happiness and carry me to a whole new world. I am grateful painting allows me to escape the realities of the pandemic. I look forward to being able to paint theater sets with my comrades at WVLO again.
