I find beauty in all stages of the life of a flower. In this painting I was inspired by the muted yet warm greens and pinks in my garden in October. Using bold, expressive marks for the foliage and stems together with heavier brushstrokes to construct the flowers, I hope this piece captures beauty that lingers even as it fades.
