About the work
This photograph was taken early on a foggy September morning at Ocean Park Beach in Santa Monica, CA. All felt still against the steady roar of the ocean, and I was inspired to capture this balance between calm and crash. This piece is part of a larger series of photographs of Santa Monica taken at different times of the year.

I feel incredibly thankful for the chance to create art and share it with you. I hope that my work will spread joy and create what Madeleine L’Engle calls “cosmos from chaos”. My work is influenced by my architecture training, the laughter of my two sweet daughters, the vibrancy and sunshine of my hometown Los Angeles, and my time spent living in Italy, Barcelona, London, Costa Rica and Rwanda.
