I find there is something so magically feminine about tea cups - the pomp and circumstance of a small tea break, a gathering of friends, the end of a meal, or the beginning of a good book. I love finding vintage objects that I believe are very masculine or feminine. I think of the many hands that have procured the objects, the events celebrated, and how the object has played a part in the mundane and the celebrated. This English tea cup and saucer set (circa 1940's) has a royal color. By cropping the image and focusing in on the teacup handle, this piece gives the vintage item a modern feel.
