About the work

This is an abstract painting with bold color, line, and movement inspired by my travels in Morocco. The earth tones of the desert and buildings are contrasted by the bright blue of the sea water and ceramics. There is also an ode to geometric patterns seen in Islamic art and tiles. The movement is also reminiscent of the medinas. This is part of a larger series about places.
