I've always been captured by flowers in any form, but mostly at their ability to move with the wind and change in color in an instant with the sun's movement. They can hold one shape for just a moment, and look completely different the next, both beautiful and complete in their own way. I take an abstract approach with the desire to keep floral paintings "alive", and I choose flowers as my subject to pay my respects to an object that has found its place in every decade and even century, both in design and in life. The flower. The timeless way to say everything from I'm sorry to I love you.
