Good, real food, non-fussy kitchen tools and food serving vessels make me happy. This quiet watercolor painting was inspired by breakfast at my house. In my family, we each hand-painted our own cup holders - mine looks much like the one in this painting. I love the play of the white egg cup against the white of the paper and the slight variations in the hues of the egg.

I work from my home-based studio in San Francisco. Mostly self-taught, my style is equal parts classic, understated and whimsical. I am inspired by food, flora, the colors in nature and human faces. I approach most of my art in a methodical manner as my left and right hemispheres fight for position. I transitioned from corporate telecommunications and logistics to running my own creative business over a decade ago. Very different places!
