The sweeping prairie fields near my hometown in Alberta, Canada, were the inspiration for this oil painting. Focusing on using loose strokes of thick paint, my goal was to keep this landscape fresh, organic, and a bit underworked. Growing up on the Alberta prairies, living many years in coastal northern California, and now calling the Utah mountains home, I have a deep love of nature and the stunning vistas that inspire my work. With a BFA in Illustration, I’ve spent the past twenty five years raising four fantastic daughters and trying to find as much time as possible to paint.
