I like to reduce things to their basic form, using the simplest language, especially familiar household objects like pots, spoons and plants. Here I've taken a floral stem with lovely circular leaves like a Pilea and turned it into a series of organic shapes suggesting its origin. Overlapping colour and texture in calming neutral tones adds interest to this minimal design.

Francesca has been licensing her work for publishing for a number of years, as well as creating her own prints for wall art.
She mainly creates by hand and colours digitally, although recently she’s been drawn to traditional methods, including paint and paper collage to create abstract works.
Francesca is the recipient of the Minted Emerging Fine Artist of the Year 2019.
She lives in London with her husband and two boys. less
