About the work

I had pink walls and a pink rug in one of the homes I lived in when I was a child. When I entered the Pottery Barn Kids and Teen Art Challenge, I knew that I would create something pink because (with the exception of my all-black goth years), the color has always inspired me. No matter where her journeys take her, Louisiana, the Pacific Northwest, and Southern California will always live inside her.
