I spent my childhood summers at the lake. Warm days would find me submerged in water with just my face peering out, soaking in the glittering sun when it wasn't hiding behind clouds. From this perspective all the colors at the shoreline would be reflecting back toward me spreading across the surface of the water. In this painting I wanted to capture that feeling of floating among the brightness, carefree.
