Creating abstract compositions of cut tissue paper is my favorite medium to capture the essence of mid-century modern style while also infusing a youthful, sophisticated twist through the use of a humble material. In "tissue seagrass," the converging and overlapping simple shapes felt like underwater plants swaying with the motion of the sea.
