I set out to capture time with movement as its proxy by using hand dyed paper using watercolor paints and food dye. I shaped the paper and used in-camera techniques to create this set of two images. Hints of light blue and soft tones call out the nostalgic feeling of innocence, youth and simplicity. Light, texture, color are a few elements that captivate and motivate me to create images. No subject is too boring – even a piece of weathered wood can create an interesting image. Add in a textured bowl, a bunch of berries and a dash of morning sun lighting it all – a perfect kitchen image for a kitchen with a rustic bent. I think of myself as photographing life. less
