As an artist and photographer, I am constantly thinking of new ways to express myself through my work. A lot of my work involves water because I'm naturally drawn to the peace I feel when I am near or in the water. So I naturally had to find out how I could possibly take my camera with me underwater. I quickly learned that being in the water with my camera had a meditative effect on me, quieting all the nonsense and opening up a beautiful space to just feel and create. I absolutely love doing underwater portraits like this one because it is an incredible experience that unlocks an inner peace and tranquility for both myself and my subject.
