About the work

This piece is a collection of documents, recipes, and scraps of paper that mean something to me. Mixed with a white wash and quick brushstroke flowers over top, the final effect is one of layers. I called it "Memory" to represent time, and the many layers that form the patina of our personalities. "Memory" is loose and the longer you consider it, the more you might find.
