This modern abstract painting represents a modern twist on botanical art. My abstract botanical pieces add modern style to traditional floral prints. Inspired by the colors and flowers in my northern California garden in the winter, the piece captures the vibrancy of the flora against contrasting light blue negative space. The bright yellow was inspired by the lovely daffodils blooming in winter in Santa Cruz.
