Laura Morris is a recent fine art graduate specializing in oil painting. She finds inspiration in the grandeur of mountain vistas, and enjoys capturing their natural beauty and majesty in thick, simple strokes. She enjoys hiking and backpacking in mountainous areas, and has a strong belief in the symbolism of mountains throughout history and cultures. Her paintings render the quiet, meditative atmosphere and convey emotions of peace and serenity. Born and raised in northern New Mexico, she often traveled to Colorado to enjoy family vacations among beautiful and inspiring Colorado mountain ranges. Now residing near the base of Mount Timpanogos in Utah, she is able to enjoy mountain explorations much more often. They are her source of relaxation, entertainment, and meditation.
